All Race Schedules: this page displays all relevant race schedules for the entire paddling year.
Lōkahi does not participate in every long distance race that is scheduled. We usually enter crews in four or five preregatta events, usually those sponsored by other clubs in our Association. We plan on entering another five or so long distance races, including the Ka`iwi Channel races, Na Wahine O Ke Kai and Moloka`i Hoe.
To participate in distance races, both before and after the regatta season, you must pay your portion of each race's entry fees. You will have to sign waivers and complete a crew list prior to the race for each distance race you paddle.
Postregatta distance races are somewhat more expensive because each crew needs an escort boat. Escort boat charges vary, typically running about $250 to $300 for O`ahu races, and upwards of $600 for the Ka`iwi Channel races.
