What it is
This group is a web- and email-based discussion group for the use of Lokahi members. While you must be a member of the group to post and read messages, anyone can join. The membership requirement allows us to control unwanted email, such as spam, that would otherwise plague the group.
What it's for
Communication among Lokahi members. As more members gain internet access, this becomes a more useful way to communicate. Anyone in the group can post a message to the group about anything either from the web site or using regular email. Just observe the basic rules of good netiquette: no flaming or personal attacks, no foul language, and so on. Pretty much common sense.
How to join the group
You can subscribe from here by sending a blank email to LokahiCanoeClub-subscribe@yahoogroups.com or you can go to the web site, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LokahiCanoeClub/, and join from there.
